Miguel Vega is a filmmaker based in San Diego, CA, currently serving as the Visual Communications Specialist at San Diego Gas & Electric. He manages the production of SDG&E’s diverse video content from concept to delivery.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Sacramento State, Miguel honed his skills by creating brand-building videos for different companies. As he shaped the perceptions of these brands, he felt inspired to use his expertise to contribute more to the Chicano community through film. Driven by a desire to grow as a Chicano storyteller, he embarked on an academic path that led him to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree in film and television production. His work is not just a creative endeavor but a heartfelt mission to ensure that the stories of Chicanos resonate with authenticity.

Miguel is a graduate of the Television, Film, and New Media program at San Diego State University.
